The handles are adjustable which allows you to change the pressure of the mallet on the gong when rubbed.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eThese mallet handles do the trick.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eIf you have or are purchasing an Edition 3 Yin Yang Mallet (the thinner 3mm handle), you want the Vario OTG 3 (Thin) Handle.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eIf you have or are purchasing an Edition 5 Yin Yang Mallet (the thicker 5mm handle), you want the Vario OTG 5 (Thick) Handle.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e \u003cstrong\u003e How to Install the Vario OTG 3 and OTG 5 Handle:\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e 1) Remove the small rubber cap from the end of the mallet.\u003cbr\u003e\u20282) Lightly moisten the mallet stick with water, if necessary.\u003cbr\u003e 4) Slide OTG handle onto mallet stick.  Attach the handle by tightening the thumbscrew when the OTG is at your desired position.\u003cbr\u003e 5) To remove or move the handle, loosen the thumbscrew two turns.\u003cbr\u003e \u003cbr\u003e\u003cstrong\u003e Please Note:  NEVER disassemble the handle. \u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cbr\u003e There is no liability for improper care of handle. Damaged handles and screws will not be replaced for free.
